About Me

Kim A. Scharoff holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in Speech-Language Pathology. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York and holds certifications as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped and School District Administrator. She has provided clinical services for over the past 12 years both in the public schools and in private practice. Kim also serves as an administrator in a public school agency where she supervises a staff of over 100 speech-language therapists and audiologists.

Kim earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and Sciences from SUNY Geneseo and a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The College of New Jersey. Kim also holds a Certificated of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership from Hofstra University.

Kim is an active board member and past president of the Long Island Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In addition, Kim is a past board member for the Board of Regional Association Presidents and the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Kim's major interests are in working with children with autism and articulation disorders. She is very interested in the use of technology, specifically i-device technology, for the development of speech-language and communication skills. She works with individual children and lectures to professionals.
